For my intermediate animation class this semester we each had to create a story, design characters and layouts, and then animate it. It was a crazy process and a crazy, fun semester! Here is my final film, enjoy! (:

Airmail: Character Designs

Here are some of my character designs for the short film I'm currently working on, entitled Airmail:

Six-year-old Oliver is our intrepid main character, changing the world one letter at a time!

A line up of the Stevens family, including Oliver's pet bird Hermes of course!

Coffeeshop Portraits

I recently went drawing with a friend of mine, and she wanted to draw me so I decided to draw her as well. With growing frustration because my drawing looked nothing like her, I finally realized the problem: I wasn't squinting! As soon as I did, everything fell into place so much easier. Not the best portrait in the world, but I felt it was worth posting for a good lesson learned (remembered?).

These next couple weeks are full of vacations for me, so I will hopefully return with some decent drawings.....and actually remember to post them!

Final Projects

Happy summer! (: Soo I haven't posted at all this semester.......but it has been a very busy one! Now that school is out for a few months though I plan on doing a better job of keeping this updated.

My attempt at animation in the form of my final 114 Sack Pantomime,

A couple little pages from my winter sketchbook since I haven't posted in a while, I hope to scan and upload more pages for a bigger post soon!

The first page is from Golden Gate Park, the second and third done at a marina near my home. Another post soon, promise!
